Movers in Frisco, TX, Where the City Grew Nearly Sixfold in 20 Years
Element’s 1,445 quote requests through August 2026 contain 2,736 city mentions between them, and Frisco accounts for 94 of them. Among the suburbs, only Plano, McKinney and Irving came up more often, and our Dallas suburbs guide shows which way Frisco’s requests run, in and out.
The city behind those requests changed fast. Frisco had 33,714 residents in the 2000 census and 200,509 in the 2020 census, and it was the fastest-growing city in the United States in 2017. Elle Nesher and Lee Haviv founded Element Moving & Storage in 2010, and our movers in Frisco, TX work across both halves of that growth, from established neighborhoods to master-planned communities that are still filling in.
If you are weighing moving companies in Frisco, TX, three things on this page can be checked rather than taken on trust: our license numbers, how we quote, and where your things go if a closing date moves.
Element has no office in Frisco; the Element location closest to Frisco is our Plano one, in Legacy West (see the Plano location page).
A Moving Company in Frisco, TX, for Two Counties, Two Tollways and New Builds
Several of Frisco’s neighborhoods are master-planned communities, and not all of them are finished. Phillips Creek Ranch covers 950 acres, The Grove is master-planned as well, and Hollyhock is still adding homes, with land set aside for a future Frisco ISD middle school and high school. A move into a new build runs on the builder’s schedule rather than yours.
Two of the main roads through Frisco are tollways with their own service roads: the Dallas North Tollway, whose service road is Dallas Parkway, and the Sam Rayburn Tollway, whose service road is SH 121. Preston Road (SH 289) is one of Frisco’s main north-south arteries, and US 380 is University Drive. An address on Dallas Parkway or SH 121 is reached from the service road, not the tollway, so tell your Frisco movers which side of the road the address is on, and where a truck can stop, before move day.
Frisco also crosses a county line. Part of the city is in Collin County and part is in Denton County, and its ZIP codes run from 75033 to 75036. The school districts do not follow the city limits either: most of Frisco is in Frisco ISD, but parts of the city are in Lewisville ISD, Little Elm ISD and Prosper ISD. A Frisco mailing address does not settle the school question, so if your move date is set by the start of the school year, look the new address up in the district’s attendance zones first.
A lot of people work here, not only live here. The Dallas Cowboys moved their headquarters to The Star for the 2016 season, the PGA of America opened its headquarters in Frisco in August 2022, and T-Mobile USA and Keurig Dr Pepper are among the city’s largest employers. Games and events at The Star, Toyota Stadium, Riders Field and the Comerica Center can slow the roads around them, so check the event calendar before you settle on a move day near one of them. If the move is an office rather than a house, see our commercial moving services.

We See the House Before We Price It
Before we put a price on a Frisco move, we walk through the house, either in person or by video call. If you are moving into a new build in Hollyhock or The Grove, the walkthrough is of the house you are leaving, where your things are now. The price comes in writing: an hourly rate for a move inside Frisco or across Dallas-Fort Worth, and a flat, binding quote for a long distance move.
Planned Around the Gate at Starwood or Newman Village
Starwood and Newman Village are guard-gated, and their HOAs, like many in Frisco’s master-planned communities, can limit the hours a moving truck may come in and where it may park. Ask the HOA or the management company what it requires and put the truck on the gate’s guest list for move day. Tell us the community when you request a quote, and we plan the move around its rules.
License Numbers to Check Before You Book
A move from Frisco to Houston or Austin is a Texas move, covered by TXDMV 006519926c. A move from Frisco to another state is covered by USDOT 2038052 and MC 715198, our federal household goods authority. Check the federal numbers in FMCSA’s mover search; the TxDMV’s mover page covers the Texas one.

FAQ About Our Moving Services in Frisco, TX
What areas of Frisco do your movers serve?
Our Frisco movers cover the whole city, in Frisco’s ZIP codes, 75033 to 75036. That includes Starwood, Newman Village, Phillips Creek Ranch, The Grove, Hollyhock and the streets around Frisco Square and Stonebriar Centre. Moves that start or end nearby, in Prosper, Little Elm, The Colony, McKinney or Plano, are ones we take too, as are moves anywhere else in Dallas-Fort Worth.
How much does it cost to hire movers in Frisco, TX?
Most local moves in Dallas-Fort Worth run $130 to $200 per hour for a two-person crew with a truck, which puts a one-bedroom at about $520 to $1,200 and a three-bedroom house at about $1,800 to $3,800. Our moving cost guide breaks the numbers down. A Starwood gate check, an HOA truck rule or full packing adds time to a Frisco move, and the hourly rate bills that time.
How far in advance should I book movers for my Frisco move?
Four to six weeks’ notice covers most Frisco moves. If you are closing on a new build in a community that is still building, such as Hollyhock, count back from the builder’s estimate and leave room for it to slip. If your HOA asks for notice before a moving truck comes in, count that notice period first, then pick the date.
Do you move families into new builds in Frisco?
Yes. In Frisco that may mean a new home in Hollyhock or The Grove. With a new build, the risk is the closing date, which can slip after you have already set a move-out date. Tell us the closing date and the builder’s estimate when you book, and ask the builder whether the driveway will be finished by move day, since the truck has to park somewhere.
Do you offer storage for Frisco residents?
Yes, in Dallas. Our storage is at the Denton Drive warehouse, not in Frisco, so nothing is stored in the city itself. When the date you leave one Frisco home and the closing on the next one do not line up, we hold your shipment there until the closing and then deliver it to the new address. See how our Dallas storage works.
Can you move me between Frisco and another state?
Yes, out of Frisco or into it for a job at T-Mobile or the PGA of America. Long distance moves go on our own trucks with our own crew, not a partner van line. After the walkthrough you get a flat, binding quote, and at booking a delivery date, which is usually fixed and depends on the route. Our long distance moving page says what the quote covers.
