The walkthrough sets the order of work. You decide the floor plan down to the desk, and every box and crate is labeled by destination (Accounting, desk A-14), not by whose desk it was. Larger offices can move in phases by department, so some staff keep working while their colleagues’ desks are on the truck. Every move runs inside the hours your building approves.

The price rises with the volume of furniture, files and equipment, the crew size and hours, packing, any elevator, dock or long-carry limits that slow the work, and storage. It comes down when staff pack their own desks and the building gives the crew a clear window.
Start planning about 12 weeks out for a small or mid-size office, and 16 to 24 weeks for more than 50 employees or complex IT. Ask the building for its move packet first, because the COI, freight elevator and loading dock approvals usually take longer to settle than the move itself.
