Our Moving Process
A few days before your move, you will get a call from us confirming the details of your move, such as the addresses, timeline, and any specialty items. Our dispatch department will also contact you to review and sign the necessary paperwork ahead of time, ensuring a smooth and efficient start on move day. Before the move, you’ll also need to select the type of coverage you prefer for your belongings.
When the crew arrives the foreman will introduce himself and the crew and do a quick walkthrough noting all items that require special care.
We get started by protecting your home, the furniture and packing the truck with all of your belongings.
At your new home, we quickly and carefully unload the truck, placing all items in your desired location.
We finish things up by having a quick walkthrough to make sure everything is where you desire and finish up the paperwork. Welcome home!

Anytime… with Element Moving the time of moving doesn’t matter. We’re ready anytime and our team can handle your move with the utmost care. Our busiest months are between May and October. You may be able to get better pricing on off months.
The earlier, the better. We suggest calling four to six weeks before your move date. The more lead time you can give, the more likely the company will be able to meet your preferred delivery schedule.
For local moves, the time depends on the amount of items you are moving and the distance between the destinations. For long distance moves, there are many factors, such as the time of year, weather, size of your shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment is traveling.
Contact your move coordinator as soon as you can if your move dates have changed. He/she can process any changes to your plan and discuss updates.
Yes, as long as the driver deems them safe for transport.
Plants can be moved on local moves if properly packed and prepared, but we cannot guarantee the safe transport of live plants, which can be traumatized by motion or temperature extremes inside the moving truck. We cannot transport live plants on long distance moves.
Pets cannot be carried in the moving truck. Dogs, cats, and birds can usually be transported in the family car.
Element Moving Company, as well as all Licensed Movers, will not move hazardous or combustible items such as propane tanks, firearms, paint, and aerosols, as the temperature in the truck could cause these items to explode or ignite.
Because complex events, such as a home closure or completion of construction, can be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, we don’t recommend scheduling your move for the same day. Save yourself the stress of rescheduling and plan your move date for several days after your closing date.
Demand for moving services is generally at its lowest during the middle of the month and, in particular, the middle of the week.
No. We are not equipped to dispose of trash. However, if you wish to have something transported to a the dump, we are able to do so with a debris removal fee. Please speak to your relocation specialist about cost of debris removal.
